Other species of animals like zebras, lions, that we can only see in the zoo would be found abundantly in the arid areas of this continent. In fact other safari parks are encouraging tourists to enter into the natural habitats of these animals to better observe and see them in their natural behavior.

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012This year I’m going on cheap holidays to Lanzarote with my best friend who lives in Spain. She has been recommending we go to the Canary Islands for years now, and I’m finally letting her plan the whole trip since she is much more of a local than I am –not to mention the fact that she speaks perfect Spanish. However, I hear they speak English absolutely everywhere on the island, which comes as a relief because we will probably do some separate activities. For example, I’m quite interested in seeing some of the island’s geographic landscape and can’t wait to check out the volcanoes. Whereas, she is much more interested in lounging by the pool all day and sipping on cocktails since her job is also quite stressful. Although I like a bit of sun, I do tend to get quite bored and can’t stay in the sun for long now before I start burning.
